At Holistic Living Solutions, we sell a variety of supplements, essential oils, and tinctures. But it can be overwhelming looking at our shelves if you have no idea what to look for or where to start. Today, we’re going to dive into one of the tinctures we sell: Lemon Balm, and how you can use it in your daily life.

Lemon Balm has been around and used for hundreds of years. As John Evelyn (1620-1706) said, “Balm is sovereign for the brain, strengthening the memory and powerfully chasing away melancholy” describing the traditional use of lemon balm as a tonic. Today, the sweet smelling plant is used for its calming properties, first aid remedies, to heal cold sores, soothe digestive problems, or just relaxation.

The sweet smell of lemon balm can be used to calm anxieties or induce relaxation. I however have found it useful in its first-aid use, as I have used it to soothe insect bites, calm irritated skin, or even used as a lotion for dry skin.

Lemon Balm is also commonly found in teas to increase relaxation. Added to a daily routine could provide a new sense of calm to start the day, or relieve anxieties.

At HLS, we sell lemon balm in the tincture form. For any additional questions or to purchase for yourself, visit us in store.
